The Windrush River Launch is a new concept and design from Bossoms Boatyard Limited and John R. Moxham.
Bossoms Boatyard, a traditional English builder of Thames river launches, will craft to order at its Oxford yard three alternative traditional forms of river launch on a single, low wash, technologically advanced hull design, optimised for silent and clean (battery or hybrid) propulsion.
Windrush measures 25’8” (7.82m) in length, with a 8’ (2.44m) Beam.

Windrush is built to the highest quality standards and her classic lines evoke the finest traditions of English boat building, whether in open (Umpire), forward cabin (Cruise), or mid-cabin (Weekender) form.

Each of the cabin versions of Windrush is fully and sensibly equipped with a head, a galley, and occasional sleeping berths; and offers standing headroom.

Windrush is durable, with a hand-laid GRP hull, so that routine maintenance is limited to her propulsion systems; and otherwise to her owner’s choice of fine hardwood cabin and deck finishes. Windrush is practical and a pleasure to use. The broader beam of her efficient hull gives safety and lateral stability when boarding, plus exceptional deckroom and seating space for a boat of this class – without compromising her elegantly proportioned lines. It also allows an exceptional volume of convenient locker space.

Windrush is a boat to use, to enjoy and to be proud of, eclectically blending the aesthetic values of 200 years of traditional English boatbuilding with the convenience and reliability of 21st Century design and environment-friendly engineering technology.
